Pontoon boat rentals on Sodus Bay

Please review the following requirements before reserving your pontoon or boat rental on Sodus Bay.

Operator Requirements

• Must be 21 years or older
• Valid driver’s license
• Valid boating safety certificate
• Prior boating experience required (primary operator)
• Rentals may be denied if staff determine the operator cannot safely handle the vessel.

Where You Can Operate

• Boats are restricted to Sodus Bay only.
  Do not exit between the lighthouse piers into Lake Ontario.

Arrival & Safety Briefing

• Arrive 30 minutes prior to your rental time
• All passengers must attend the safety orientation
• Late arrival may reduce your time on the water.

Safety Rules

• Life jackets must be worn at all times
• Capacity limits are strictly enforced: 16 ft Pontoon: 8 people / 1,150 lbs
• No operation under the influence of alcohol or drugs
• Boats must be returned before sunset unless pre-approved

Weather Policy

• We determine unsafe boating conditions. Weather decisions are made on the day of rental.

Financial Responsibility

• Full payment is required at booking
• A credit card will be held on file
• Renters are responsible for damage, late returns, and excessive cleaning
• By proceeding with your reservation, you acknowledge that you will be required to sign a rental agreement and liability waiver prior to departure.
